Band Story
From the creation of two bands back in June 2017 Orchard Hill Band has become a Tribute To Four Decades of Classic Rock. The journey begins with the psychedelic music of the late 60’s through the ever changing music of the 90’s and also a few original songs. Bear Path Studios in Shelton CT. is where the band rehearses and records. As of now we have a 86 song library of music to choose from for our shows. Bio
Mark Solotruk
It started for Mark with a group called the M & M Band. The band preformed mostly original with some cover music. Mark was the lead vocalist and percussionist. Mark went on to form a band called Night Dream which was a high energy group performing original music. Night Dream went on to win the finals competition at Talent America in New York City. Later Mark joined Silent Majority as the front man of the band performing original and cover music for 20 years. As a song writer, Mark has written a great deal of original music influenced by all different types of recording artists. Mark currently is a lead vocalist and percussionist for a band called Orchard Hill Band which is A Musical Tribute to Four Decades of Classic Rock.
Steve Kassay
Steve started playing music at the ripe age of 15. He quickly came to love the classic sounds of the Pete Townsend, Jerry Garcia, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton. He moved to Chicago in the 90s and played in numerous bands. His most successful band Punch released two albums and was the warm up act for Adrian Belew
Phil Atiyeh
Phil has played with a host of big names for the past 25 years - Clapton, Bonamassa, Mayer, The Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, The Doors...you name it. All in his basement...on his Roland Drums... with his headphones on. He claims to have put on some brilliant performances and is constantly looking for both old and new music to play. He's recently found five other musicians who enjoy many of those big names where he's driving the beat - without headphones!
Jose Then
Raised in New York City, Started playing at age 16, some lessons but mostly self taught. Currently with Orchard Hill Band. Previous endeavors include Silent Majorty, Sin Eaters Death Party, and local jam bands to name a few.
Growing up in NYC, he was influenced by local and big name musicians. Eddie Van Halen, Russ Freeman, and Jim Croce have always been particular favorites.
